Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper [I use a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LTHMEA/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002LTHMEA&linkCode=as2&tag=mormonmomcast-20&linkId=HSFUVJGQI2ZHMZ7I%22%3ESilpat%20AE365240-02%20Premium%20Non-Stick%20Silicone%20Baking%20Mat,%2014-3/8-Inch%20x%209-1/2-Inch%3C/a%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=mormonmomcast-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B002LTHMEA" target="_blank">Silpat</a>]. Put 4 rounds of SLICED PROVOLONE on it (they will spread so leave space). Bake at 350 for 10 minutes [I did 12 in my oven]. Meanwhile, get a broom and set it between two chairs so it's suspended. Line it with a double-thickness of paper towels. Then drape the golden brown cheese rounds (crispy on edges at that point but still pretty gooey in center) over the broom to cool. Can do other kinds of cheese the recipe says, but provolone starts out the perfect shape.</div>

<span style="border: 0px; color: white; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">.</span><br />
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Advice</strong>: Start this process when you first wake up <strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">or </strong>at about 4-6pm. This process is very, very easy and very, very time consuming.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="border: 0px; color: white; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">.</span></div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Also – NEVER stir your yogurt, only scoop or fold, or it will break down and become thin.<br />
<span style="border: 0px; color: white; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">.</span><br />
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Process:</strong></div>
<ol style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 5px 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Combine the powdered milk into the milk, mixing well (I use my stick blender). The powdered milk adds milk solids to your yogurt giving it a thicker consistency than most homemade yogurt. I HIGHLY recommend it. Plus, it’s a great way to use your food storage!</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Pour the milk into a 4-5 quart crockpot, cover and turn on low heat.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Leave it alone for 2.5 hours.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Unplug your crockpot.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Leave it alone for 3 hours.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Uncover the milk and skim off any skin. Scoop 2 C of warm milk into a bowl and whisk with 1/2 C yogurt. For my starter I used Greek Gods traditional plain greek style yogurt.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Pour the milk/yogurt back into the other milk and cover your slow cooker.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Wrap the entire slow cooker crin a fluffy towel and let it sit on your counter for 8 hours.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Unwrap. Scoop yogurt into clean containers and refrigerate.</li>
</ol>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="border: 0px; color: white; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">.</span></div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
That’s it. If you follow the measurements exactly and use the proper size slow cooker this method should work for you. <em style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">If you change amounts or use a smaller or larger crockpot your heat will vary and it may not work</em>. I cannot believe how easy and INEXPENSIVE this is. I will never buy store bought yogurt again. <strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">To flavor it</strong> – just stir in some jam or homemade syrup (I combine 1 C sugar, 1 C water, bring it to a boil and then add 1 C of mashed fruit and let it simmer for about 10 minutes). Delicious!!</div>

<div style="margin-bottom: 15px;">
<strong>For the Gravy:</strong></div>
<ol>
<li>Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.</li>
<li>Stir in the flour and garlic powder and cook until golden, about 2 minutes.</li>
<li>Slowly whisk in the broth, milk, salt and pepper and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.</li>
<li>Cover and keep warm while preparing the steak. (The gravy can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days.)</li>

<div style="margin-bottom: 15px;">
<strong>For the Steak:</strong></div>
<ol>
<li>Whisk the flour, cornstarch, garlic and onion powders, cayenne, baking powder, 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp pepper in a large bowl. Transfer 1 cup of the seasoned flour to a shallow dish.</li>
<li>Beat the eggs in a second shallow dish.</li>
<li>Add the milk to the bowl with the remaining flour mixture and rub your figures until the mixture resembles coarse meal.</li>
<li>Pat the steaks completely dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.</li>
<li>Score the meat lightly using a knife at 1/4 inch intervals in a crosshatch pattern on each side.</li>
<li>Dredge each steak after scoring in the seasoned flour.</li>
<li>Using a meat pounder, pound the steaks to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick.</li>
<li>One at a time, coat the steaks lightly with the seasoned flour again, dip in the egg and then transfer to the bowl with the milk and flour mixture, pressing to adhere.</li>
<li>Arrange the steaks on a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes or up to 4 hours; do not discard the milk and flour mixture.</li>
<li>Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 200 degrees (if not already done so).</li>
<li>Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until just smoking.</li>
<li>Return 2 of the steaks to the bowl with the milk and flour mixture and turn to coat.</li>
<li>Fry the steaks until deep golden brown and crisp, 2 to 3 minutes per side.</li>
<li>Transfer to a clean wire rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet and keep warm in the oven.</li>
<li>Repeat with the remaining steaks. Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy.</li>

INSTRUCTIONS</h4>
<ol style="margin: 1em 0px; padding: 0px;">
<li itemprop="recipeInstructions" style="line-height: 1.6em; list-style-position: inside; list-style-type: none; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><div style="margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;">
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;">
<strong>1. </strong>Whisk 3 tablespoons oil, lime juice, garlic, paprika, sugar, salt, cumin, pepper, and cayenne together in bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat. Cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes or up to 60 minutes.</div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;">
<strong>2.</strong> Heat oven to 200. Remove chicken from marinade and shake off excess. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in skillet over high heat until just smoking. Add chicken and cook without moving it until bottom side is well charred, about 4 minutes. Flip chicken; transfer skillet to lower oven rack. Bake until chicken registers 160 degrees, 7 to 10 minutes. Transfer to cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes; do not wash out skillet.</div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;">
<strong>5.</strong> Slice chicken crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Return chicken strips to skillet and toss to coat with pan juices. To serve, spoon few pieces of chicken into center of warmed tortilla and top with vegetables and lime wedges.</div>

<br />
When you want to eat the cake simply combine THREE tablespoons of cake mix (each tablespoon is 1 WW point - of pretty much any cake mix) - TWO tablespoons of water and mix well. - Microwave for ONE minute and let it sit for 15 minutes. Serve with FF whipped topping for a delicious treat.Whithttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08433021981669593390noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5205448563543297871.post-5929513946737882072013-10-18T13:25:00.000-06:002013-10-18T13:25:37.926-06:00Cheese Danish<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<em>1 teaspoon essential oil (I like lavender)</em><br />
<em></em><br />
<em>1/4 cup witch hazel (you can substitute this with vodka, cetyl alcohol or stearyl alcohol)</em><br />
<em></em><br />
<em>3 1/2 cups water</em><br />
<em></em><br />
<em>Just spray on your sheets every morning when you make the bed. You can use this on tablecloths or any linens. It dries quickly and leaves a wonderful scent that smells so good when you turn down your sheets at night.</em><br />
<em></em><br />
<em>The witch hazel or alcohol is used as an emulsifier to keep t</em><em>he oil and water from separating. You can make it without, but you'll need to shake it very well to get it to mix together without leaving oily spots. I recommend using the emulsifier.</em></div>
